I guess it was in a way–but not in a way that anyone was expecting.

It’s not like I woke up one day and decided I was going to ride horses, they have been part of me for as long as I can remember.  I don’t know why.  No one in my family rode, I didn’t have any friends with horses, I just knew I needed to be around them. Learning how to ride has given me more than I can express in written words: I blossomed into a confident, compassionate, tough, organized, calm, creative, reflective, thoughtful, crazy horse person.

Horses brought me more confidence than anything I have ever know.  And for this, I will forever be grateful.

Thankfully, I have the amazing opportunity to see the show Cavalia in Atlanta around Christmas time with my husband and family.  It is a tremendous gift to see these amazing athletes–horses and riders.

Here is baby Leo. He’s 2 months old and a whopping 15lbs. The mother Tess is one of my future brides and I couldn’t help but ask her if I could photograph her baby. At our initial consultation, he slept. Today he wiggled; the whole time :) He was a very good sport, didn’t seem to mind the camera at all, and didn’t cry the whole time he had his photo shoot.
